DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION - That's why we can no longer do without it
That's why we can no longer do without it
The current change and the approach to unknown panoramas certainly represents a challenge, but the benefits that derive from the conversion of a company to digital can be long-lasting and lead to numerous advantages that have paid off over time.
Although many companies have experienced the counterproductive effects of a failure to digitize their processes on their reality, there are still many that tend not to reap the benefits. The possible consequences of a delayed adaptation to this new approach can contract one's sacrifices and results in a significant and harmful way today and in many cases preclude the business continuity of the future.
There are therefore several reasons why COVID-19 will push companies to consider a digital transformation more quickly.
Here are some of them as an example:
Remote working

If in the past for many companies it represented a risk for the inability to combine the working space with the management of leisure time while maintaining productivity and efficiency, today it is reasonable to think that we can no longer do without it.
In the future it will become increasingly necessary to implement solutions that can guarantee connectivity and collaboration, even remotely, for all possible business and production areas.
Virtual events

This is showing how with digital solutions it is possible to streamline and simplify and therefore recover a lot of time to devote to other activities that otherwise would require longer and sometimes even more expensive planning.
The cloud
The real-time, the visualization and streaming events, the video-conferences and much more that we’ve experienced today in mass, without cloud solutions would not have been possible.
The interruption of production in the factories

An exponential and unexpected demand
To light of these examples and many others that we could do, we are convinced that digital transformation can help companies to solve traditional and non-traditional problems. First of all this means doing it in the right way and integrating technology in every area of business and in the intrinsic cultural approach of companies.
The path to digitalization requires a systemic process to reap the many benefits. Today more and more artificial intelligence tools have entered and will enter factories. These tools, starting from the information content of the collected data, can be merged into solutions to support and integrate the human being in order to improve production and quality processes.
When a company has the tools to identify waste sources and avoid them, it is also able to maintain competitiveness and fully exploit production capacity. This also has a significant impact on the experience of the external customer (often in those companies whose sphere is B2B) and allows companies to work successfully.
We believe that our solution can provide companies with a significant competitive advantage that is defensible over time; a digital transformation that in fact becomes part of the culture and experience of the organization, so that it can be managed in the most efficient way and reaping all the resulting benefits.
In order to successfully follow a digital transformation we propose the Lean & Digital approach of Bonfiglioli Consulting that Digibelt has helped to develop together with some Technological Partners (Exor, Orobix and Hotminds) and collaborations with the Academic world.
