 Who is Emil Abirascid?

Journalist and innovator, he founded the magazine "Innov'Azione" linked to the world of Italian technology parks and published until 2014, and is the director of the magazine "Startupbusiness", of the Digital 360 group.

 

Curator of StartupDigest Italy, he collaborated for a long time with Il Sole 24 ORE. In unsuspected times he began to deal with startups, also developing a section dedicated to the topic within Smau. Today, this trend occupies a large part of its activity. Currently Emil Abirascid is an advisor to ScaleIT, an event platform created 4 years ago with the mission of bringing Italian and South-Eastern Europe scaleups together with international investors; he is chairman of the Marzotto Prize selection committee, the main award in Italy for startups and scaleups with a prize pool of over € 2.5 million between economic support and mentoring paths, which in 2018 experienced its eighth edition; For three years, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy, ​​it has been organizing the Italian Innovation Day in Japan, where it presents some of the most innovative Italian scaleups to local investors. The initiative was so successful that it was exported to Australia with one stop in Melbourne and one in Adelaide and a third stop is underway in Perth and Singapore.
